Meatballs Hawaiian

Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 slices fresh bread, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon clove
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons reserved pineapple syrup
- 1/3 cup reserved pineapple syrup
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
Recipe
- 1 drain pineapple well, reserving syrup.
- 2 mix together beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, salt, cloves, allspice and 2 t of pineapple syrup.
- 3 mold small amount of mixture around each pineapple chunk.
- 4 place meatballs in 12x8x2 inch dish.
- 5 cover with wax paper.
- 6 microwave at high 4 minutes.
- 7 pour off meat juices.
- 8 stir together rest of syrup, ketchup and brown sugar.
- 9 pour over drained meatballs.
- 10 microwave at high 3 to 5 minutes longer, until done.
- 11 serve with rice or noodles or serve with toothpicks as an appetizer.
- 12 makes about 24 to 30 meatballs.
