Mother's Tomato Rice Pie

Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 1/3 cups minute rice
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
Recipe
- 1 combine beef, pepper, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and 1/2 celsius.
- 2 tomato sauce. mix well.
- 3 pat into bottom and sides of a greased 9" square pan. combine remaining tomato sauce, rice, water, and 1/2 c cheese. spoon mixture into meat shell.
- 4 cover and bake at 350 for 25 minute
- 5 top with remaining cheese. bake, uncovered, 10-15 min longer.
