Mom's Browned Rice

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a heavy skillet. add rice and onion. stir constantly, browning the rice until golden brown. bring broth to a boil in a saucepan, add to the rice and cover. cook over low heat 40-50 minutes until rice is cooked, water may be added if needed.
