Macaroni And Cheese

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 7 ounces macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cook macaroni al dente and drain.
  • 2 heat oven to 350.
  • 3 in a bowl or pan, mix together dry milk, flour, and butter.
  • 4 slowly add boiling water while whisking.
  • 5 i use water strained from the pasta.
  • 6 whisk until thickened.
  • 7 you may need to return to stove to get this to thicken.
  • 8 add half of the cheese and stir until blended.
  • 9 add cheese sauce to macaroni and pour into baking dish.
  • 10 stir 1 cup of cheese into the macaroni along with salt and pepper.
  • 11 cover and bake for 20 minutes.
  • 12 uncover and sprinkle last 1/2 cup of cheese on top.
  • 13 return to oven and bake 5 more mintes.
