Perfect Rice Every Time (microwave)

- 3 cups long grain rice
- 6 cups water
- 2 tablespoons butter (optional)
Recipe
- 1 place three cups uncooked rice in a large microwave safe bowl. using cold water, rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
- 2 i use a small spoon to swirl the rice in the water. once the water is clear, drain the rice.
- 3 add 6 cups fresh water to the rice, and the butter if using. add any additional seasonings of your choice.
- 4 microwave uncovered full power(100%) for 15 minutes. do not remove bowl from oven. microwave uncovered at 50% power an additional 20 minutes.
- 5 remove bowl from oven. cover and let stand an additional 5 minutes. fluff with a fork.
