Mandarin Orange Chicken

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 chicken breast, cut into 1 in. pieces
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons onions (diced)
  • 1 (3 ounce) can orange sections (preferably in water)
  • 1/4 cup frozen corn
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Recipe

  • 1 drain the can of orange segments, rinse.
  • 2 mix ginger, sugar, sesame oil and soy sauce, let heat gently in frying pan.
  • 3 add chicken pieces and chopped onion, saute over medium high heat till chicken is .
  • 4 add corn and bell pepper, saute for three minutes.
  • 5 add drained and rinsed oranges, and then spoon honey over mixture.
  • 6 saute for ten minutes, raise heat to high if desired.
  • 7 check chicken pieces with a toothpick to see if ready, there should still be a fair amount of liquid in the pan. serve with rice.
