Leek And Shallot Rice

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 leek, diced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning

Recipe

  • 1 bring water, oil, and rice to a boil and then reduce to simmer. simmer for 40 minutes or until done.
  • 2 after rice is cooked melt butter in a skillet and saute leek, shallot, and garlic for about 5 minutes or until tender.
  • 3 add rice and seasoning to butter and saute for 4-5 minutes stirring to prevent rice from burning.
