Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1/2 lb macaroni
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 3 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup seasoned croutons, crushed
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 boil macaroni and drain.
- 3 stir in butter and egg.
- 4 mix mustard and salt with hot water.
- 5 add to macaroni.
- 6 add cheese leaving enough to sprinkle on top.
- 7 pour into 8 inch square buttered casserole dish.
- 8 add milk.
- 9 sprinkle with cheese and croutons.
- 10 bake for45 minutes or until the custard is set and the top is crusty.
