Macaroni And Cheese

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 lb macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 3 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup seasoned croutons, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 boil macaroni and drain.
  • 3 stir in butter and egg.
  • 4 mix mustard and salt with hot water.
  • 5 add to macaroni.
  • 6 add cheese leaving enough to sprinkle on top.
  • 7 pour into 8 inch square buttered casserole dish.
  • 8 add milk.
  • 9 sprinkle with cheese and croutons.
  • 10 bake for45 minutes or until the custard is set and the top is crusty.
