Mom's Stroganoff

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 cups water or 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup greek yogurt

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef, mushrooms, and onions together.
  • 2 add first water or broth, ketchup, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • 3 cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • 4 mix second water and flour together well separately - no lumps.
  • 5 stir into beef mixture while adding. reduce heat and let thicken.
  • 6 stir in greek yogurt last before serving. do not boil after adding the yogurt.
  • 7 serve over egg noodles or rice.
