Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups milk, plus
- 4 tablespoons milk
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, in chunks
- extra cheese
Recipe
- 1 boil macaroni for 7 minutes; drain.
- 2 melt butter in saucepan.
- 3 add flour.
- 4 when butter and flour form a paste, add milk and 1 cup shredded cheese.
- 5 salt and pepper to taste.
- 6 when cheese is melted, combine noodles and cheese mixture in a casserole dish.
- 7 arrange cheese chunks into macaroni mixture.
- 8 sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top.
- 9 bake, uncovered in 350° oven for 1 hour.
