Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk, plus
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, in chunks
  • extra cheese

Recipe

  • 1 boil macaroni for 7 minutes; drain.
  • 2 melt butter in saucepan.
  • 3 add flour.
  • 4 when butter and flour form a paste, add milk and 1 cup shredded cheese.
  • 5 salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6 when cheese is melted, combine noodles and cheese mixture in a casserole dish.
  • 7 arrange cheese chunks into macaroni mixture.
  • 8 sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top.
  • 9 bake, uncovered in 350° oven for 1 hour.
