Lasagna

Total Time: 2 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 3/4 lb italian sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon italian spices
  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 24 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 12 lasagna noodles

Recipe

  • 1 cook ground chicken, italian sausage, onion and garlic.
  • 2 add salt and next ingredients; stirring until well mixed. let simmer 45 min.
  • 3 cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • 4 combine ricotta cheese, eggs, pepper, 2 tablespoons parsley, parmesan cheese and 1/2 of mozzarella cheese; in lasagna pan, layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture; repeat.
  • 5 top off with layer of noodles; sprinkle evenly with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • 6 bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cheese mixture is thoroughly melted.
