Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3/4 lb italian sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon italian spices
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
- 24 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, divided
- 12 lasagna noodles
Recipe
- 1 cook ground chicken, italian sausage, onion and garlic.
- 2 add salt and next ingredients; stirring until well mixed. let simmer 45 min.
- 3 cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- 4 combine ricotta cheese, eggs, pepper, 2 tablespoons parsley, parmesan cheese and 1/2 of mozzarella cheese; in lasagna pan, layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture; repeat.
- 5 top off with layer of noodles; sprinkle evenly with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- 6 bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cheese mixture is thoroughly melted.
