Licorice Slice

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 200 g sweetened condensed milk, may come in a tube
  • 250 g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut meal
  • 400 g licorice, allsorts
  • 150 g chocolate
  • 30 g copha

Recipe

  • 1 grease and line a 19 x 9 loaf pan with baking paper leaving an overhang on the long sides.
  • 2 place butter and milk in saucepan over low heat.
  • 3 stir till butter melts and mixture is smooth, cool.
  • 4 add biscuits, hazelnut meal and licorice to butter mixture, combine well.
  • 5 press into prepared tin, smooth surface.
  • 6 chill 30 minutes or till set.
  • 7 melt choc and copha together gently in microwave.
  • 8 pour over slice, chill further 2 hours.
