cuban-style black beans

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, drained
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/2 (12 ounce) can light
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro, for garnish

  • heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook the garlic in the oil 15 seconds. stir in the onion and green pepper; cook and stir 10 minutes. pour in the black beans and ; simmer until thick, about 15 minutes; garnish with cilantro.
