Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 2 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped (or blueberries, or banana chips)
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2/3 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 combine oats. spread oats in a baking pan, and toast in oven for 15 minutes, stirring every five minutes.
- 3 remove from oven, and let cool five minutes.
- 4 prepare a 9 x 13 pan by spraying with nonstick cooking spray. set aside.
- 5 in a large bowl, combine oats, cereal, cranberries, chocolate chips, cinnamon and salt. set aside.
- 6 in a small sauce pan, combine honey and peanut butter. cook over low heat until thoroughly combined. do not boil.
- 7 remove peanut butter mixture from heat; add vanilla, stir to combine.
- 8 pour over oat mixture, stir to thoroughly combine.
- 9 pour mixture into prepared 9 x 13 pan.
- 10 let sit 3-4 hours to set up.
- 11 cut into bars and enjoy!
